From the Writer's Desk
As unproductive as it sounds, the place where I read and write the most is my bed. It's been a habit of mine to do all of my work in my bed since middle school, and it hasn't failed me yet, so why change it now? I've found that I do my best work when I'm comfortable, and let's face it the desk chair that came with my apartment is far from comfortable.

It's not the prettiest bed, and once I move again, I plan on sprucing it up a bit with new bedding, but it's very comfortable, and it gets the job done. I used to have a chair pillow for my bed, too, but didn't have room in my car to bring it up to this apartment in Florida.
Honestly, I'm usually under my comforter when I'm reading or doing any of my work because my room is always freezing. But for this picture, I figured it was best to not be enveloped by my bedding so much that you wouldn't be able to see me (though it was tempting). Usually, I have my glasses on, my computer resting on my lap, and my back against my pillows. The more comfortable I am, the easier it is for me to concentrate on the task at hand. And who doesn't love getting cozy to read a good book?

Lastly, this is my small collection of books that I have out on display with the little room I have in my apartment. The rest of my books are under my desk because they wouldn't fit on top of my dresser. I need to invest in bookends but figured that I could wait until I move again. I didn't use to need bookends because I used to have a bookcase in my old apartment. Also, coffee is essential for a pick me up at any point in the day.
